SUPPORT
The African Bioacoustics Community strives to promote research currently taking place on our beautiful continent, highlighting areas for research development and providing a forum to explore future collaboration among African and international partners.
The ABC is run entirely by dedicated volunteers giving their own time to make this dream a success. As such, we are inviting individuals and businesses/organisations to donate or provide sponsorship for our organisation and future events. Your generosity will not only ensure the continuation of this passion project but will also provide you with benefits such as complimentary registration to our next event, acknowledgement on our social media platforms, and promotion of your brand/ company/ research to a community of over 1000 people!
Not sure how to give? We have two options:
You can donate to us DIRECTLY
Or through our GivenGain campaign

Conference Sponsorship
The African Bioacoustics Community hosts a biennial conference through which we aim to provide an opportunity for students to network with a wide range of professional scientists including marine biologists, ecologists, oceanographers, behavioural scientists, engineers, and statisticians.
Our past conferences were huge successes and we know that our future events will only build on this – but we need your help to make that a reality.
In recognition of your generous support, you will receive widespread acknowledgement and promotion for your organisation at the conference; on our website and social media; via media coverage of the event; and complimentary conference registration.

Student Funding
We at the African Bioacoustics Community believe that local and international conferences are wonderful spaces to learn, network and form collaborations. As such they are very important, especially to early-career scientists and students.
However, we are also very aware that finances can be a hurdle for students to get to these important conferences.
Don't hesitate to look for funding at your university or institution, or with the journal you intend to publish in. If you belong to any scientific societies or communities, enquire with them if they have travel funding available to members.
